Environment Health Safety

EAA supports the exchange and dissemination of ideas and best practices within the aluminium industry. You will find under this section process-related safety solutions which have aready been tried and successfully put into practice at a plant, and can therefore be taken up in other plants as well.
EAA is looking forward to further new safety solutions which are preferably simple, cost-effective and easy to implement.
Should you wish to suggest your idea or solution, or should you need further information, please contact:

Environment, Health & Safety Manual

The Environment, Health & Safety Manual is undergoing a major review (background to the review). During a transition period in 2006-2008, two EHS Manuals existed: the pre-existing EHS Manual and the EHS Manual - New. As procedures were reviewed, they were progressively removed from the older manual and relocated into the new.
As of September 2008, a critical mass of progress in the review had occurred, and the two manuals were merged back into one document, which is the EHS Manual - New at http://www.unimelb.edu.au/ehsm-new/.
Because the new manual has a different structure , procedures that used to be located in the older manual will now have a different procedure number and location.
How to find what you need
To find a specific procedure from the previous EHS Manual -
Look it up in Locating old EHS Manual procedures in the EHS Manual - New [.pdf].
To browse current EHS Manual procedures -
Go straight to the EHSM - New.
